How did your experiences at SU shape your career?
The Newhouse school gave me a broad overview of the Entertainment industry and lit the fire under me to follow that as a career path.
What was your first job after college?
I worked for a tv news production company in Washington, DC (where I interned during the summer before my senior year). We mostly covered topical news for the tv show Entertainment Tonight and filmed behind-the-scenes on movie sets in the southeast region.
What has been a major highlight of your career thus far?
I’ve been lucky to have many, but the success of BORAT (after doing something so different and experimental) was incredible, and then winning the Golden Globe for the sequel was the cherry on top.
How have you stayed connected to SU?
I am on an active text chain with many of my sorority sisters (AOπ) so we can stay connected. I also serve on the Regional Alumni Council and have guest lectured through the years.
What is your favorite memory of Syracuse University?
The Walnut Park Block Parties were such a specific, special and festive vibe. There was nothing like it. The school celebrated and partied together. I also loved the Sorority/Fraternity Dance Marathon Philanthropy. So fun!!!
