Jim Morris ’77, G’78, is the president of Pixar Animation Studios, where he oversees the production of the studio’s features, shorts, DVD content, and theme park activities. He produced Disney•Pixar’s Academy Award®-winning feature, “WALL•E,” for which he was also awarded Producer of the Year in Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures from the Producer’s Guild of America.

Prior to joining Pixar in 2005, Morris served as President of Lucas Digital Ltd. for more than ten years, and managed its two divisions, Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) and Skywalker Sound.

Morris is the recipient of both the Producers Guild of America Digital 50 Award and the Visual Effects Society Board of Directors Award.

Morris earned a Bachelor of Science degree in film and a Master of Science degree in television and radio from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University.

Meg LeFauve headshotMeg LeFauve ’87, Screenwriter

Nominated for an Oscar, and one of this year’s Variety’s Screenwriters To Watch, Meg LeFauve was a screenwriter on the blockbuster “Inside Out” for which she won an Annie Award for best screenplay. She also wrote Pixar’s “The Good Dinosaur.”

LeFauve is currently writing on several projects including Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” with Nicole Pearlman. She is also writing and producing the adaptation of the classic book “My Father’s Dragon” with Cartoon Saloon.

LeFauve began her film career as a producer and President of Egg Pictures, Jodie Foster’s film company. She was a mentor at Meryl Streep’s writer’s lab, and is currently a consultant to Screen New South Wales, Screen Australia, and Film Victoria. She has also mentored at the Sundance Creative Producer Lab and is a Board Member and returning participant at CineStory Script Sessions.

LeFauve has taught at AFI and served as co-chair of the Graduate Producers Program at UCLA’s School of Film and Television, where she taught master level story and development classes for over seven years.

Raised in Warren, OH, LeFauve graduated from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University and currently lives in Studio City, CA with her husband and two sons.

meredith roberts headshot Meredith Roberts ’88, SVP/General Manager of DisneyToon Studios

As Senior Vice President/General Manager for Disneytoon Studios, Meredith Roberts oversees all creative, business, and production aspects for the theatrical animation studio, a division of the Walt Disney Company.

Roberts is responsible for producing one franchise film per year for Walt Disney Studios. In her role as GM, Roberts contributes to marketing and multi-platform strategy, domestic and international theatrical distribution, social media, games, online, Park extensions and brand management as quality control of the DTS franchises for the Studio.

Roberts is a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Film Production.
